grandma's roast pork

This recipe is best with:

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg boneless leg of pork
  • 1 tablespoon of Cape Culinary Pork Seasoning

Preparation:

  • Score the skin of the pork with a sharp knife.

  • Preheat the oven to 240C.

  • Rub a tablespoon of the pork seasoning over the skin.

  • Place the pork on the high shelf of the oven for about 20 minutes. 

  • Turn the heat down to 180C, and cook for a further 2 ½ hours.

Serve with:

Home made gravy from the pan, Oven baked vegetables and topped with cheese sauce and golden crispy roasted potatoes and fluffy steamed rice or of course Yorkshire pudding. Try adding our Cape Culinary Cranberry Savoury Jelly to your sliced meat.
