Stick Barbecue Chicken Wings
This recipe is best with:

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken wings
  • olive oil
  • 1 Jar Cape Culinary BBQ seasoning
  • 100g sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 100 ml Fruit Chutney

Preparation

  • Cut each wing at the joint to separate it into two pieces and wash them under cold water patting the dry with a paper towel.
  • Cover the chicken wings with a coating of olive oil then season the Chicken wings with the BBQ Seasoning, don’t be shy when doing this
  • In a separate pot add the water, sugar and 2 table spoons for BBQ Seasoning and bring to a boil. (Basting)
  • Grill the wings until the skin is crispy and the meat is fully cooked--usually 10 to 15 minutes, occasionally turning them.

Once the wings are fully cooked and the juices run clear, brush on a conservative amount of the basting sauce so that the wings are coated lightly and evenly. Garnish with finely diced onions.

Serve as a snack or a starter
