Ingredients
-
500g chicken wings
-
olive oil
-
1 Jar
Cape Culinary BBQ seasoning
-
100g sugar
-
200ml water
-
100 ml Fruit Chutney
Preparation
-
Cut each wing at the joint to separate it into two pieces and
wash them under cold water patting the dry with a paper towel.
-
Cover the chicken wings with a coating of olive oil then season
the Chicken wings with the BBQ Seasoning, don’t be shy
when doing this
-
In a separate pot add the water, sugar and 2 table spoons for
BBQ Seasoning and bring to a boil. (Basting)
-
Grill the wings until the skin is crispy and
the meat is fully cooked--usually 10 to 15 minutes, occasionally
turning them.
Once the wings are fully cooked and the juices run clear, brush on a
conservative amount of the basting sauce so that the wings are
coated lightly and evenly. Garnish with finely diced onions.
Serve as a snack or a starter
